a²om BTEC Driving Science ADI Agreement
This document represents an agreement between a²om® and
------------------------------------ who will be referred to as the a²om® Registered ADIs
1. Development Programme General Criteria
1.1 On expression of interest in the one day programme ADIs will be informed of the choice of date and venue, by e mail.
1.2 Registration on the programme is dependent on
- access to broadband facilities, as this is crucial to all communication and reporting models.
- current Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) enhanced disclosure information
- registration with the Driving Standards Agency (DSA) as an Approved Driving Instructor (ADI); not subject to appeal procedure.

Registration on the programme will be confirmed with a receipt for fees paid.
1.4 a²om® will not normally return fees unless given at least 10 working days notice of cancellation. Non completion of the programme, or unsuccessful completion of the knowledge based assessment does not warrant a refund of fees. Any request for consideration of exceptional circumstances should be given in writing to
the a²om BTEC Manager: zdibble@a2om.com no more than two months from the date of the booked Development Programme.
2. Registration
Registration as an a²om® Registered
ADI is dependant on the following:
2.1 Attendance at the one day a²om BTEC Accreditation Training Course.
2.2 Successful completion of a knowledge based test to be completed online from your home following the one day course.

4 Copyright
a²om® reserves all copyright and any other rights which may subsist in the products of, or in connection with, the provision of a²om®’s services or facilities. a²om® reserves the right to take such actions as may be appropriate to restrain or prevent infringement of such copyright.
5 Removal from Register
a²om® reserve the right to remove assessors from the register if:
5.1 a²om® receive a verified complaint or adverse feedback from a customer
5.2 The a²om® Registered ADI is removed from the DSA register
5.3 The a²om® Registered ADI (being a company) has entered into liquidation (other than for the purposes of a bona fide amalgamation or reconstruction) whether compulsory or voluntarily or compounds with its creditors generally or has an administrator, administrative receiver or receiver appointed over all or a substantial part of its undertaking or assets.
5.4 The a²om® Registered ADI (being an individual) has become bankrupt or shall be deemed unable to pay its debts by virtue of Section 123 of the Insolvency Act 1986
5.5 The a²om® Registered ADI ceases or threatens to cease to carry on business
5.6 The a²om® Registered ADI carries out any act which adversely prejudices the Company’s commercial interests, trade reputation or brand image, or threatens to do so."
5.7 Your registration will be reviewed annually. If you are not delivering more than 5 a²om BTECs annually, a2om will contact you to discuss removal from the register of affiliated ADIs. a2om reserve the right to ask you to attend a re-training day.
5.8 The internal verifier warrants it
5.9 The external verifier warrants it
5.10 Any circumstances whatsoever beyond the reasonable control of a²om® (including but not limited to the termination of the service through no fault of a2om) arise that necessitate for whatever reason the termination of the provision of services.
5.11 After removal the Assessor will no longer receive the benefits of registration and must cease advertising as an a²om® Registered ADI or using a²om® or Edexcel branded material. They will lose access to the a²om® portal.
6. Verification.
6.1 Assessment quality is monitored and regulated by Edexcel, the awarding body. a²om is a BTEC approved centre (Centre number: 19761) and is responsible for its own internal verification of the assessment process; Edexcel provides an expert external verifier.
6.2 a²om® Registered ADIs must not release the content of the assessment tasks to students ahead of their formal assessment.
6.3 When requested, a²om® Registered ADIs should make every effort to make themselves available to meet with the internal verifier at a mutually convenient time.
6.4 The internal verifier will give as much notice as possible of a meeting. a²om® Registered ADIs should indicate their preferred method of contact.
6.5 In the event of the verifier giving an adverse report the verifier will outline the steps that will need to be taken prior to re-assessment. This may involve another meeting, which will be agreed mutually to take place at the earliest convenience. If the a²om® Registered ADIs does not agree to the outcomes of the meeting with the internal verifier without reasonable cause, they will be removed from the register.
6.6 Edexel will also carry out monitoring to quality assure the delivery of the qualification. a²om® will give as much notice as possible of a meeting. a²om® Registered ADIs should make every effort to make themselves available if requested to meet with the external verifier at a mutually convenient time. Verifiers may also wish to interview students.
7. Appeals or Grievances
In the event of a dispute or grievance a²om® Registered ADIs
should appeal in writing to Sarah Rowley srowley@a2om.com stating their grievance.
8. Benefits
8.1 Assessors will receive % commission for every student that registers as a a²om BTEC student.. Once a²om® Registered ADIs details are registered this will this be done automatically when their student first goes on line to register.
8.2 From time to time a²om® will offer benefits to include discounts on goods and services.
9. Liabilities
a²om® do not accept liability for failing to provide services if we are unable to do so because of circumstances beyond our control, which may include acts of government, disruption of utilities or other supplies, or extreme weather conditions. a²om® cannot accept any liability for any losses or damage, whether direct or indirect, incidental or consequential, that you or any third party may incur as a result of or relating to our Company’s services, whether in respect of any injury, loss or damage arising in respect of our vehicles, or equipment or the activities of our staff, or otherwise, other than liability for injuries for death or personal injury which may arise as a result of any negligence on the part of our company, its staff or contractors. These terms do not affect your statutory rights.
10. Warranties
a²om® gives no warranty, whether express or implied, concerning the quality, fitness for purpose, accuracy or sufficiency of our training services.
11. Data Protection
Registering each a²om® Registered ADIs, confirms that our company and/or its sub contractors may store his/her personal information.
That information relating to a²om® Registered ADIs, or students will not be released without permission otherwise than in accordance with the terms that are permitted under Data Protection Act
1998.
